Lifestyle medicine is a growing field that utilizes evidence-based lifestyle choices as a primary – but not exclusive - method of preventing and reversing disease. It is composed of 6 pillars, all of which contribute to health, and are:
A whole-food, plant-based eating pattern
Regular physical activity
Restorative sleep
Stress management
Avoidance of risky substances
Positive social connections
Medications are used where necessary, but only after addressing lifestyle contributors, and not as a first resort.
The goal of lifestyle medicine is to make your body a hostile terrain for disease and provides an exit strategy from the current “pill for every ill” medical system.
What issues can be addressed by Lifestyle Medicine?
There is literally no condition which lifestyle medicine cannot improve,
however common conditions include:
Diabetes
High blood pressure
High cholesterol
Heart disease
Lung disease
Thyroid disease
Cancer
Autoimmune conditions
COVID-19
Long COVID-19
Vaccine injury
And more
If you have a question as to whether your condition can be addressed by lifestyle medicine, please email

Insurance
Insurance can be used for lab work and imaging services, however in order to maximize time spent with patients and to avoid interference with the physician/patient relationship, Dr. Gudel does not participate with or accept insurance. Patients will be provided with a receipt for medical services which they can then submit for HSA reimbursement and/or tax purposes. HSA Flex cards are gladly accepted.
To book an appointment, please visit the "Investment" page and purchase the desired service, after which you will be contacted to set up appointment.
Lifestyle Medicine vs Primary Care
Lifestyle Medicine enhances but does not replace primary care. Patients will still need to visit their primary care physician for routine care, such as vaccines, minor procedures, acute injuries etc. If you have a question about what Dr. Gudel can address in office, please email your inquiry to allifestylemed@protonmail.com. If you are having medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Labratory/Imaging
Routine* labs are included with the investment at the initial visit. Further lab work may be covered by insurance, or will be offered at a discounted price via the lab with which Dr. Gudel works. Imaging services are offered via Green Imaging, who, along with their network of imaging centers and reading radiologists will provide studies at a fraction of market cost.
*Discussion with Dr. Gudel of said labs will require purchase of an additional visit.
Contact the practice via email for a listing of covered lab tests.
